Start by adding the chicken to a  liters of water and then add ½ cup salt ,1/4 cup sugar , 1 white vinegar , 2 tsp. of garlic powder (optional), 1 tsp. of onion powder (optional), 3 bay leaves (optional)

Next, place it in the ice chest or aluminum tray for 3 hours on one side, then flip it over and let it sit for another 3 hours on the other side.

The next step is to remove the chicken from the ice chest or aluminum clamshells that we had it in and place onto a cutting board.
